Funky Olive is a unique collection of handcrafted, individual, earthy and beautiful gemstone jewellery. The company was formed by Berkshire based designer/maker Sophie Bentley and was born was her passion for colour, shape, texture, movement and also a love of beautiful accessories. Each piece has been created by designer/maker Sophie Bentley using a mixture of carefully chosen materials including Semi-Precious Stones, Glass, Wood & Sterling Silver sourced from all over the world. She finds inspiration for her designs everywhere and often in the most unusual of places; the unfolding colours throughout the different seasons or perhaps the beautiful lines of a piece of architecture! Her main draw of inspiration is nature itself.

I am an emerging designer-maker producing sculpture and furniture for home and garden. I combine traditional methods with contemporary design using reclaimed and found materials where possible. Metal furniture bases are made by myself or manufactured from my designs by a traditional blacksmith. These are made to last in heavy wrought iron and galvanised where stated. I undertake commissions, workshops and public art projects.
